Whether you're looking for temporary work or the potential for a permanent role, this opportunity offers a supportive environment where your ideas are heard and your growth is encouraged.This role can be offered on a temporary or temp to perm basis.Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Reconciling control accounts, including daily management of cash accounts
  • Partnering with colleagues on the purchase ledger, particularly during the rollout of a new system
  • Stepping in for colleagues to manage the sales ledger and credit control when needed
  • Overseeing weekly payroll (outsourced) during absences, ensuring timesheets are accurate
  • Producing reports with insightful commentary for the Finance Manager to inform business decisions
  • Collaborating with the sales team to monitor pricing and identify trends
  • Supporting with management account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
What you will need:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as Assistant Accountant / Assistant Management Accountant / Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant / Ledger Clerk
  • A solid understanding of management accounts, reporting and reconciliation processes
  • Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, able to analyse and present data effectively
  • A collaborative and resilient attitude - you’ll balance a lighthearted workplace culture with the pressures of meeting deadlines
