Overview

Our clients are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and organised Administrative Assistant to join their growing accountancy team at their site in Southampton. This is a permanent part-time role, offering you the opportunity to support various administrative functions within a dynamic and professional environment.

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the office. Your key responsibilities will include general administrative tasks, payroll support, postal duties, reception assistance, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform general administrative tasks such as typing and distributing letters, answering calls, photocopying, and scanning documents.

- Assist the Reception and Admin Supervisor as needed, including welcoming visitors to the office.

- Complete and maintain accurate timesheets daily.

- Handle postal duties, including scanning, booking, and opening mail.

- Support payroll processes by conducting payroll checks and filing relevant documents using Iris software.

- Maintain an archive database and manage archiving of documents.

- Process in-house forms and assist with other ad-hoc administrative tasks.

- Provide banking assistance as required.

Experience Required:

- GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade 5/C or above.

- Previous experience in a similar administrative role is advantageous but not required.

- Proficiency in MS Office/365 applications, especially Excel, with the ability to quickly learn new software.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- A proactive, can-do attitude with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Friendly and approachable personality with a professional demeanour.

- A valid driving license is essential for this role.
