Interiors/Cabin Safety CVE Design Engineer (Part 21J) (hybrid onsite and remote)
What you should bring:
- At least 7 years of Part 21J experience as a interior/cabin safety CVE at Design Approval Organization
- Fluent English and great communication skills working in a team
- Experience with various Minor design modifications e. g. Emergency Equipment Layout changes, Livery changes, placard internal and external applications, Textile and non textile component certification and installation (curtains, carpets) etc.
- Experience in cabin refurbishment/ seat layout changes (LOPA changes), including 9G and 16G seats.
- Experience in seat refurbishment/modification changes (including but not limited to seat cover, seat cushion, seat plastic part changes) and flammability property re-assessment.
- Experience in cabin STC changes and being familiar with the STC process.
- Have good knowledge and be able to demonstrate/verify compliance against the most common Cabin Safety related requirements of CS/JAR/FAR 25 (25.562, 25.601, 25.785, 25.791, 25.803, 25.811, 25.812, 25.813, 25.815, 25.853, 25.1411, 1413, 25.1415, 1441, 25.1439, 25.1529, 25.1541, 25.1561).
- Be familiar with standard aircraft documentation, TC Holders frame specifications, Operational Suitability Data (OSD) and original TC Holders drawings, part lists and standards (Boeing and Airbus)
- Be familiar with CAD software (Autocad, Solidworks-optional)
- Be able to prepare technical design documentation i.a.w. Part 21J requirements (Drawings, SB’s, Compliance documents, supporting Technical reports, Publication supplements etc.)
- Be able to call out alternative AMC methods for certification of various Interior parts.
Your tasks:
- Helping Lead Design Engineer or HDO on preparation of technical evaluations in accordance with customers requests. Determining manhours, technical data required and forseeing obstacles that has impact to project TAT or manpower.
- Sharing experience, knowledge and guiding Design Engineers on the applicable acceptable means of compliance for particular changes of Cabin safety/Interiors.
- Verifying compliance of compliance documents in the field of Cabin Safety/Interiors (Panel 11).
- Ensuring released changes contains applicable Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA), verifying compliance of 25.1529
- Ensuring all test programmes (test plans/reports) are prepared as necessary to show compliance with all CS, OSD and environmental protection requirements, as well as for completeness, and signing for release of the documents
- Ensuring quality and approving the release of Engineering/Service Bulletins with special attention for airworthiness, environmental protection, accuracy and compliance with Part 21J.
- Preparing/checking technical reports and certification documents (showing compliance against CS/JAR 25 requirements) i.a.w. Part 21J regulations.
- Assist in the management of projects to agreed schedules and budgets and to provide regular updates and reports to HDO (Head of Design) and HOA (Head of Airworthiness)
