My client are a leading M&E and principal contractor, specializing in the design and build of innovative mission-critical infrastructure for blue-chip clients within the data center, news, and banking sectors. Due to increased workload and business growth, we are seeking an HVAC/Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in delivering solutions throughout the UK & EMEA region.


Job Description:
> We are looking for an HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in transitioning concept designs into detailed, deployable designs. The role focuses heavily on critical HVAC infrastructure within Data Centre environments.


> Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed designs and select appropriate equipment
  • Perform mechanical calculations for pressure drops, airflows, and other key parameters
  • Conduct CFD Modelling for Data Centre white space and critical plant rooms
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and contractors to ensure design criteria compliance
  • Ensure all designs meet current regulations
  • Compile comprehensive design documentation and submittals
  • Additional hours will be required at times
  • There may be times where travel to sites and regional offices is required


> Qualifications/Experience:

  • Experience in HVAC Systems Design
  • Exceptional ability to manage workload and conflicting demands
  • Proactive and capable of working independently
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D pipework modelling software is required
  • Proficiency in Revit is advantageous
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK & EMEA
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous but not required
