Your new companyYou will be working for the local county council from their hub in Bishops Waltham.
Your new roleYou will be providing proactive and reactive tree inspections throughout the Hampshire Highway Authority network.Tasks may include:
ï‚· To attend countywide sites, to assess tree conditions and necessary works and advise intentions. Including tree survey and report writing and tree planting site validation.ï‚· To instruct works to our tree contractors.ï‚· To manage own site inspection workloads.ï‚· To advise on development schemes, S278, S38 and planning applications.ï‚· To remain up to date with current industry legislation and practices.ï‚· To maintain good communication between the Client and contractors.ï‚· To meet project deadlines and provide accurate and proportionate arboricultural advice.
What you'll need to succeedYou will be an experienced Arborist with a Level 4 Diploma in Arboriculture or equivalent experience.
You will also:-
* Hold an Arboricultural Association Technicians Certificate, or equivalent (or working towards this).* Have Arboriculture experience, with particular experience in tree work or planting, according to post, together with relevant practical experience.* Practical knowledge of tree biology and structure, plant identification, tree pests and diseases, law in relation to Highway trees, planting practices and standards, arboricultural costings, the environmental impact of and on trees and awareness of current issues.* Competent IT user.* Effective written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.
