Due to the winning of a number of projects predominantly in the rail and infrastructure sector, our client an award winning engineering consultancy present in a vast number of offices across the globe with an international team of acoustic designers working globally on projects in the performing arts, museum, broadcasting, aviation, commercial, education, healthcare, highways, planning and rail sectors have an urgent requirement for a suitable qualified and experienced Acoustic Consultant. Successful candidates will possess considerable acoustic consultancy experience particularly relating to infrastructure/rail developments.

Qualifications

Qualified to degree level in acoustics or acoustics related discipline

MIOA

Full driving license

Experience

Considerable post graduate experience in environmental and/or building acoustics.

Previous experience of acoustic consultancy of infrastructure including rail projects

Good written, verbal and presentation skills

Be numerate, literate and familiar with IT and software appropriate to the project tasks

Good working knowledge of all relevant codes of practice and industry standards

An ability to communicate effectively

Be commercially aware

Be highly motivated, conscientious and diligent with attention to detail

Flexible and prepared to take on a new challenge.

Ideally previous project management and business development experience Duties

Contribute/Manage a number of high [profile infrastructure projects

Provide technical lead to help develop less experienced consultants, providing support and advice as needed.

Develop the business, negotiating with clients and contractors in order to develop existing relationships and to forge new business relationships in order to develop the acoustics sector within the business.

Responding to enquiries, communicating with clients to establish their needs and drafting fee proposals
