Service Development Officer

Duration: Initially 3 monthsHours: 37 hours a weekRate: £28 umbrella an hour

Southampton City Council are currently looking for a Service Development Officer to join their Integrated Commissioning Unit.

As a Service Development Officer you will:

  • Assist in the development of a clear integrated approach to commissioning with specific responsibility for service re-design and performance in identified areas
  • Support the Integrated Commissioning Unit in service planning and strategy
  • Undertake needs assessment to inform planning and development
  • Undertake service reviews and develop option appraisals to support commissioning decisions
  • Develop detailed service specifications

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience of managing projects and achieving outcomes in timescales and complex settings
  • Experience of leading service development change
  • Experience of producing strategies and/or polices
  • Experience of managing risks and reporting
  • Understanding of Health & Social Care system including Primary Care
