Full Time & Permanent Position | 40 hours per week | 6 days out of 7 working patterns

Our client are a cleaning company that are actively recruiting for an Area Cleaning Manager in Southampton. Responsible for driving operational performance, delivering excellent service and demonstrating continuous improvement in service delivery, process & engagement with both colleagues & clients

Job Purpose:

  • Manage day-to-day operations in the client account, including overseeing the cleaning and covering of sites
  • Hold area holiday planner & ensure cover is in place for all planned absences
  • Create, maintain & update Audit schedule
  • Conduct audits on sites to ensure compliance with cleaning standards.
  • Create & implement any action plan required following an audit fails or site escalations
  • Plan & complete all additional works requested by site within agreed timescales & to budget agreed
  • Create, complete & update actions plans for any audit fails or site escalations & keep all parties up to date
  • Communicate standards and KPIs clearly to the team.
  • Conduct monthly site visits to check on service performance, support staff needs, and client liaison on all sites. Recruit, select, and develop a team to cover and clean sites effectively.
  • Provide support for business needs and adjoining accounts as directed by the Operations Manager.
  • Ensure all colleague training is up to date including inductions, refresher training, machinery & tool box talks
  • Ensure all site compliance documents are up to date & completed where appropriate.
  • Ensure all risks, hazards & incidents are reported, investigated & any remedial actions completed.

Candidates background & experience:

  • Multi-site Cleaning management experience, ideally experience with mobile cleaning and retail environment
  • Strong degree of flexibility with regards to travel
  • Strong auditing experience
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Highly operational with a commercial focus.
  • Results focussed with the ability to hit KPIs
  • Happy with overnight stays where required
  • Ability to manage direct reports, ensuring cleaning standards are met

Candidates need to be fully prepared to be hands-on when required.
