About the clientThe Management Recruitment Group is seeking an Interim Head of PMO (Construction / Estates Development) for a Public Sector Estate in Southampton.

Accountabilities

  • Develop, lead and manage an Estates & Facilities’ Portfolio Management Office
  • Lead this organisations Estates PMO function to provide oversight of governance and assurance across all areas of estates & facilities services
  • Lead on the collection and analysis of data across estates activities ranging from projects, sustainability, maintenance and FM
  • Development of a capital projects milestone programme
  • Programme Manage the implementation of procurement framework
  • Work with senior estates & facilities colleagues on strategic planning, financial planning, forecasting, masterplanning and capital projects and programmes
  • Provide commercial management support for contracts/frameworks, supply chain management and procurement activities
  • Lead on risk and change management activities

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in a PMO leadership position within an estates or construction environment
  • Recognised construction membership such as MRICS, ICE, MCIOB or working towards
  • Programme Management qualification such as MAPM
  • Experience in a programme and commercial management role within an estates and facilities team
  • Proven experience in the development of contracts and procurement management frameworks
  • Available to start at short notice
  • Willing to work on-site in Southampton 3 - 4 days per week
  • Proven programme management, commercial and risk assurance experience within an estates department or construction environment
