Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Commissioner to work with our local authority client in Southampton! (Hybrid working)

Contract - 3 - 6 months initial contract with the view to being extended to an ongoing basis

Salary - £25.00 -30.00 per hour - may negotiate dependent on experience

About the role:

  • Working with the Senior Commissioner to re-commission a range of voluntary sector contracts in relation to Early Intervention & Prevention.
  • Developing and leading on specific elements of strategy, business and development plans.
  • Taking a key role on specific projects, system redesign, on behalf of the organisation and wider local community as required.
  • To lead and direct specific planned care projects in conjunction with provider organisations which will produce cost and clinical efficiencies.
  • Facilitate system redesign events, collaborate with clinicians and service managers, and implement commissioning outcomes. Drive measurable change and efficiencies at a locality level.
  • stablish and maintain high business standards, monitor performance against agreed outcomes, and contribute to commissioning reviews. Ensure robust data management and reporting systems are in place.

About You:

  • Experience in strategic commissioning or healthcare management, with a strong understanding of system redesign and project management principles.
  • Knowledge of NHS and local authority commissioning processes, along with experience in financial planning, risk management, and performance improvement.
  • Experience of successfully leading service development and change, improving outputs and outcomes.
  • Experience of negotiating controversial issues including performance and change.
