We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Furniture Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving a furniture delivery van and, with the assistance of a porter, installing furniture in customers’ homes. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting with great care and precision.
Day-to-day of the role:- Drive a large van to customers’ homes.
- Load the van each morning for the day’s deliveries.
- Unload furniture by hand and move it into the chosen rooms.
- Unpack and assemble all required items.
- Take all packaging away and any old furniture for disposal.
- Ensure great care is taken at all times to avoid damage to the furniture or the customer’s home.
- Maintain a calm and professional manner at all times.
- Fast and accurate incident reporting.
- Perform other general warehouse tasks, such as receiving, inspecting, storing items, and assembly.
- Safe and capable handling of a large van.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficiency in unpacking and assembling furniture.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods of time.
- Furniture delivery experience: 2 years (preferred).
- Full UK driving licence.
