Driver Hire Southampton has a fantastic new opening for an experienced Van Driver to assist our client with their deliveries of hire equipment.
As a key member of the team, you will ensure that hire equipment reaches its destination safely and on time, providing exceptional service with every delivery. If you're a responsible driver who loves variety and enjoys interacting with people, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
About this Van Driving role:
- Monday to Friday ongoing work
- 7:00am- 5:00pm
- Deliveries and collections of hire equipment around the South Coast
- Use handheld device to track and take photos of deliveries, collections and exchanges
- Carry out multidrop deliveries and collections- on average between 15-20 drops per day
- Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure vehicle is safe to drive
- You will be responsible of loading and unloading any equipment on the vehicle ensuring everything is strapped correctly using rachet straps
What we require from you as a Van Driver:
- Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 1 year
- Towing experience preferred but not essential
- Own transport to commute to and from work
- Strapping experience is required
- Understand manual handling and heavy lifting procedures
- Have exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Flexible to work overtime when required
