Role Overview:
As a Class 2 Driver with Proline Recruitment, youll have the opportunity to take on a variety of roles for different clients. These include but are not limited to:
- Multi-drop Deliveries: Transporting goods to multiple locations across a set area, ensuring all deliveries are made on time.
- HGV / Heavy Goods Transport: Delivering larger or bulkier loads, requiring careful handling and secure loading/unloading.
- Construction Deliveries: Delivering materials to building sites, with potential for on-site vehicle management and coordination.
- Temperature-controlled Deliveries: Driving refrigerated vehicles to deliver perishable goods, ensuring compliance with temperature regulations.
- Waste Disposal / Recycling: Transporting waste or recycling materials to various locations such as recycling centres or landfill sites.
- Long-distance Transport: Occasional long-distance or regional deliveries, where overnight stays may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely drive a Class 2 vehicle to various locations depending on the specific assignment.
- Complete vehicle checks before each shift to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload goods as required, ensuring items are secure and damage-free.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs and any discrepancies.
- Follow all relevant road safety and environmental regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients or recipients.
- Flexibility to take on different types of work and adjust to varying shifts.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid UK Class 2 (C) driving licence.
- Digital Tachograph card and Driver CPC qualification.
- Experience in any of the following (preferred but not essential): multi-drop, hiab, refrigerated vehicles, construction transport, or waste management.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for vehicle maintenance.
- Good communication skills and professional attitude towards clients and colleagues.
- Flexibility to adapt to various types of work and scheduling needs.
