We are recruiting for a class 1 day driver to work for a rapidly expanding company in the Hedge End area. The role requires someone that is happy to work with containers and curtainsided trailers.
The Job:
- Container runs
- Curtainsider runs - bulk drops, this in not a multi-drop role.
- Day shifts.
- Morning starts. Usually between 0400-0700.
- Monday to Fridays.
- Overtime available on weekends with uplifted rates.
- Minimum 10 hours paid per shift, no break deductions.
- £17ph Ltd. £15ph PAYE.
Pay:
- Monday to Friday = £17ph Ltd. £15ph PAYE.
- Saturday £19 Ltd. £17 PAYE.
- Sunday £22 Ltd. £19 PAYE.
- Minimum 10 hours pay per day. Paid for all hours (no break deductions).
Requirements:
- Valid HGV class 1 (CE) Driving Licence. Held for a minimum of 2 years.
- Valid driver CPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
- Minimum 6 months class 1 experience.
- Relevant knowledge of EU driver hour rules and working time legislation.
- TAC (terminal awareness card) for Southampton docks, or happy to acquire one (previous container experience required)
- Good communications skills.
- Over 25 for insurance purposes.
- No more than 6 points on your licence.
