The Recruitment Crowd is seeking multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) for a well-known client in the Southampton area.
The job involves securely transporting palletised parcels with shifts scheduled for nights or afternoons across a 5 out of 7 day rota.
Pay rates range from £13.71 per hour for afternoon shifts to £16.09 for night shifts, with opportunities for permanent positions for the right candidates.
Applicants must possess a full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement, a valid DCPC, and a Digital Tachograph card, along with no more than 6 points on their licence.
A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is preferred, and candidates should be prepared for a driving assessment as part of the application process.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Southampton area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.

Hours: Nights/Afters across Monday to Sunday- shifts will be 5 out of 7 a week (weekends included) on a rota basis.

Pay Rate: Afters - £13.71 per hour / Nights - £16.09 per hour (PAYE)

Location: Southampton, SO16

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate

The role:

· Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.

· Handling runs with 4-5 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.

· Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle.

· Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

· 40 hour work weeks for full time positions but flexible contracts are an option.

Requirements:

· Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).

· Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.

· No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).

· Full understanding of WTD legislation.

· Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.

· Excellent communication skills.

· A safety-first mindset.
