Day-to-day of the role:- Safely operate HGVs to transport goods to various locations.
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
- Plan routes efficiently and manage schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is secured correctly.
- Comply with all traffic laws and regulations related to HGV operation.
- Maintain accurate logs of travel and cargo according to company and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with the logistics team and customers to ensure smooth operations.
- Valid HGV licence.
- Proven experience as an HGV Driver.
- Strong understanding of road safety and vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to manage time effectively and operate on tight schedules.
- Excellent navigational and route planning skills.
- Good physical condition and stamina to handle the demands of the role.
