A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an HGV Driver at a specialised industrial service provider. This role will also involve helping the workshop with some basic labouring duties whilst you wait for your next delivery.
Responsibilities:
- 50/50 time spent between laboring and HGV Driving
- HGV Driving - transporting stock
- Stock transported - collect motors, gearboxes, fans, pumps, general rotating equipment
- General laboring within workshop - cleaning, moving, assisting engineers on jobs, housekeeping on site
- Required to load and unload during the role themselves, trained to use cranes within workshop to load deliveries.
- Covering south of England and beyond, go to as far as Cardiff, on occasion
- Every day will be varied, e.g., one day down to Portsmouth Naval Yard, one day local, one day Cardiff, one day just in workshop assisting
Experience/Knowledge:
- Heaviest vehicle will be 7.5 ton - Class C1 + E
- CPC Essential and DigiDriver card
- Fluent in English - customer facing when unloading deliveries on customers sites, level of customer service to be able to handle that interaction
- Candidates with solely HGV driver experience is fine, can be assisted and trained on in the rest of duties
- Willing to perform ad-hoc duties as required
Hours: Working the hours are 7am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday
Salary: 30k (with great overtime rates)
