Tug / HGV Driver (NO TACO OR CPC NEEDED ONLY VALID CLASS 1)
Working onsitein the Southampton Port we are recruiting for Tug Driver roles for this busy cargo handling operation. This is a great opportunity with flexible hours.
Shift pattern / Working hours
(Up to) 12-hour shifts, Days + Nights available dependent on vessel traffic.
Shifts starts are usually 06:00 for days and 18:00 for nights.
Job Type: Zero hours contract
Perfect for those requiring ongoing and flexible hours.
Job description
As a Tug Driver you will be involved in the movement of cargo around the port of global freight in containers in the busy terminal
Adhering at all times to clear safety and quality standards to ensure shifts are conducted safely and effectively
The successful candidate:
Will be flexible to work across days and or nights depending on vessel times
Committed, team player with a keen eye for safety.
Reliable, with good timekeeping.
HGV Licence
A full UK HGV 1 Driving Licence is required for this role
Some previous experience as an Tug Driver or other similar roles would be advantageous

Experience:
- Tug driving: 1 year (preferred)
- HGV (Class 1): 1 year (required)
Licence / Certification:
- Full UK Driving License and HGV Class 1 (required)
