Platinum Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established Southeast Asian restaurant with their search for an experienced Head chef - Southeast Asian cuisine to join their team.
This busy and well-known site serves up a selection of Southeast Asian dishes to its loyal clientele. They would like to take the site to the "next level", increasing the number of covers and the dining experience, adding a bar menu and wine pairings.
Our client's ethos is to cook traditional Asian cuisine using modern techniques. They have a true passion for Hampshire ingredients paired with imported spices from China, Malaysia and Thailand.
You must have experience with cooking with a wok and understand Southeast Asian cuisine.

What's involved?
For this position, you should understand Southeast Asian culture and cooking methods, particularly with the Chinese wok. It's also important to be well organised and have great attention to detail.
As the new Head chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the running of the site's kitchen, ensuring that every dish is executed with precision and flair. You will train and delegate to your team. A proven background in understanding margin and costing is a must.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and processes.
