Your Company:An Engineering Services business are searching for a Fuel Engineer to join their team in the Greater Southampton area. With the last few years providing this business with excellent success, leading to the expansion of the business the company in question are looking to grow their service team further in order to continue delivering the high levels of care that they are doing so for their customers.The incumbent in this role will be conducting planned and repair work at customer sites across the UK to ensure a seamless service. The position holder will be a subject matter expert on fuel solutions and be able to effectively relay key information to customers as needed.Your Roles and ResponsibilitiesWhile in this role your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance as needed at customers sites, including doing fault finding exercises, testing and repair work
  • Acting as a subject matter expert relating to fuel, providing advice and practical services to clients
  • Understanding how fuel systems work, types of fuel contaminations and how this can impact quality
  • Maintaining quality assurance standards, and following health and safety rules and regulations at all times
  • On occasion, undertaking work in confined spaces
  • Managing a team of more junior engineers, overseeing the work undertaken and ensuring this is at the right standard
What you will need to Apply:To be considered for this role you must have a valid driving license and a confined space qualification, as well as excellent experience within the fuel industry, in a similar role. Excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as a logical approach to fault finding and resolution work are needed.What you will get in Return:The business will offer the successful candidate a starting salary of up to £45,000, dependent on the level of previous experience and knowledge.
