A great opportunity for an experienced Business Development Professional who loves technology and wants to help a fast-growing IT-managed service and security consulting company in the defence and Police environments. This role is mainly remote with the occasional visit to customers or HQ. This position has no commission because the employer prefers to pay employees what they are worth rather than forcing them to work towards a commission-based schedule in order to prove it.My client is experiencing exponential growth, and as such there are great opportunities for a dynamic Account Manager / Business Development Manager to join our team and help secure exciting opportunities on the horizon. The ideal candidate will have experience of either the Defence or Police environments.Key Responsibilities:
  • Be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients that will lead to revenue growth and long-term partnerships.
  • Conducting sales outreach, Managing sales inquiries, Maintaining sales pipeline, Monitoring sales metrics Collaborating with internal teams for business development. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to enhance proposal content. Tailor proposals to meet the unique needs of Defence and National Security clients, ensuring compliance with all requirements. Work closely with subject matter experts to translate technical details into persuasive and accessible proposal language.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of bid processes and documentation.
Requirements:
  • Proven sales experience with a successful track record of achieving targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Commercial mindset with the ability to analyze complex customer requirements Proactive, organized, and adept at working independently and collaboratively Familiarity with CRM software and high proficiency in Microsoft Office Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields Preferred experience in selling IT professional services, particularly in Cyber Security or Cloud Services Remote work capability with effective time management and task prioritization skills
  • Experience in selling into the Police or defence arena.
