The Role

As Marketing Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the marketing strategy. Reporting directly to the company Directors, you will enjoy a good degree of autonomy as you drive all things marketing and brand led. You will own and leverage the relationship with external marketing agencies - you will direct what activities they deliver, measure their effectiveness, and ensure that they are providing the best possible service. Currently external agency support is predominantly focused on email marketing, social media and SEO and Google AdWords.

The overall objective of the role is to increase brand awareness within key markets to drive inbound sales enquiries. This is a role where what you do can have an immediate effect on business success, so you’ll need to be prepared to get things moving quickly and to learn fast.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute innovative marketing strategies that improve brand awareness, drive lead generation, and help with customer retention.
  • Oversee, optimise and deliver multi-channel campaigns, including digital, social media, email, content, industry events, and PR.
  • Collaborate with sales, hire, and other internal teams to ensure alignment and consistency across all marketing and business generation efforts.
  • Maintain and enhance the company's brand positioning within key markets.
  • Produce digital and print based marketing collateral, assisted by agencies support as required.
  • Manage marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Manage external agencies to ensure value for money and activity levels meet KPI and goals
  • Analyse market trends, customer insights and competitors to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Track campaign performance, measure ROl, and present actionable insights to stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a marketing role, preferably within both B2B and direct to consumer B2C roles
  • A proven ability to take initiative and develop ideas that change minds.
  • A creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and then execute tactically.
  • Good knowledge of both off-line and digital marketing campaign management, including the use of analytics, email marketing and social.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support senior stakeholders.
  • Understanding of marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM systems, and marketing / social automation tools).
  • Although this is not a design role, the ideal candidate would have some knowledge of WordPress, and design and photography skills.

Starting salary £35K to £45K + Benefits
