We are recruiting for a Sales Manager to join our client in Southampton, this is a straight Permanent position offering a salary up to £55,000 DOE.Your main responsibility will be to identify, develope and successfully close sale opportunities. You will own the sales life-cycle, maintaining and building existing customer relationships across the business. You will coordinate sales operations and implement sales techniques that allow the business to meet and surpass its sales targets consistently. The duties and responsibilities of the Sales Manager will include:

  • Creating a sustainable sales strategy for the business
  • Leading the sales of the business to ensure that targets are achieved and realistically derived for expected turnaround times
  • Negotiate any contracts and price increases to ensure that business growth and margin targets are met.
  • Manage key accounts and identify and close new business opportunities
  • Prepare quotes and estimates for new and existing customers
  • Provide accurate forecasting of financial performance of key accounts
  • Provide customer and market insight into the business
  • Build and maintain excellent business relationships with new and existing customers, suppliers and industry representatives
  • Provide regular reports to the managing director

  • Be a self-starter and be a highly motivated individual
  • Be able to set and achieve short and long-term goals in line with business needs
  • To be output oriented
  • Have experience in working with engineering and manufacturing customers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be confident in briefing senior stakeholders across the business
  • Have the ability to develop strong relationships within the business and externally
  • Have the capacity to overcome barriers.
