As a Passive Fire Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in conducting detailed inspections and surveys to fire protection systems including fire doors, fire stopping, and compartmentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Survey existing buildings to determine their condition, identify and analyse defects to fire door, fire stopping, and compartmentation, including proposals for repair in order to meet relevant safety standards
- Complete surveys within set timescales
- Accurately assess and record defects and provide clear remedial notes for sales team
- Carry out health check inspections, asset labelling, and write up reports for these as required
The successful candidate will:
- Trade background in fire door joinery and/or fire stopping
- Knowledge of current fire safety regulations
- Technical knowledge and competence
- Logical and practical mind
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Good IT skills and competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Ability to analyse problems in order to identify solutions
- Driving licence
