We are working with a Tier 1 national contractor to resource a Commercial Manager to work on a major scheme near Southampton.

The business operate regionally from a hub near Southampton covering the Dorset, Hampshire, Surrey areas and turnover around 150 million a year locally and growth plans in place are targeting 250 million a year alongside the major projects they have been awarded.

A majority of their work is secured via frameworks or 2 stage negotiated with repeat business clients and they work in the Education - both Schools and Universities, Local Authority, Prison, Leisure, Data Centre and mixed use development marketplaces on schemes from 25 to 100 million in value. They are at the forefront of the digital revolution within the industry and are also one of the best companies to work for and with and offer staff brilliant packages and benefit packages ans have excellent relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

This is a specific Commercial Manager role to look after the financial interests of the company in relation to a major new project in excess of 100 million and you will report directly into the Regional Commercial Director.

You will be responsible for all commercial aspects of the scheme and you will manage the the commercial teams on the project which has been put into separate individual packages and phases each with their own deliver, design and commercial teams. You will be responsible for training and development of the site commercial teams to ensure that the phases are delivered on time and to budget. You will attend the higher level meetings as needed and forecast and predict P&L accounts for the individual phases and project as a whole. You will be the contact point for the client and their representatives and be part of the senior leadership team on the project.

The scheme is in detailed 2nd stage, enabling works underway and main works are due to start Jan 2025 and the client have a further number of high value schemes to negotiate whilst this scheme is delivered.

They have successfully delivered office developments, industrial and warehousing facilities, schools and health care schemes around the Country and have the knowledge, experience and supply chain to successfully complete projects of this nature.
