In your new role as Commercial Manager, you will lead a team of quantity surveyors, overseeing multiple developments, including regeneration schemes and phased projects. You'll focus on subcontractor procedures, value engineering, and mentoring surveyors to support their professional growth. What you'll need to succeed to excel in this role, you should possess strong management skills with a thorough understanding of cost control, budget handling, and valuation processes. Expertise in construction materials, regulations, and practices is essential, alongside proficiency in software systems such as COINS and Excel. You will have substantial experience as a Commercial Manager within the UK construction industry, either with a residential building contractor or volume developer for houses or apartment schemes, and will be educated at a UK college or university.
