ROLE OVERVIEW:

This leadership position is essential to guide the organization's procurement transformation towards a centralized model, promoting a cohesive purchasing strategy that emphasizes efficiency and cost savings. The individual in this role will take charge of the strategic direction and operational management across various regions, divisions, and entities, optimizing the global supply chain to capture efficiencies and automation opportunities. As a strategic and hands-on leader, the role will elevate the procurement function by advancing its processes, frameworks, and operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engage with business stakeholders to champion the procurement function, developing sourcing strategies and supplier agreements that communicate value. Analyze business needs to identify potential benefits from supplier consolidation, rationalization, or changes, ensuring that key stakeholders' expectations are met or exceeded, while achieving set benefits targets.
Create and roll out a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with all global business units.
Establish governance, policies, and controls for procurement activities, covering both direct (equipment) and indirect (non-equipment) categories.
Assess and optimize inventory levels of finished goods and raw materials, taking into account demand patterns, supplier lead times, and unforecasted needs to meet global production demands.
Oversee the full procurement cycle, from supplier selection and contract negotiation to ongoing supplier performance management.
Standardize supplier selection frameworks, contracts, RFQs, and key procurement processes.
Develop sourcing strategies to ensure the procurement of high-quality materials and services at the best possible prices.
Identify risks within the supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate them. Ensure continuity of business in the face of potential supplier disruptions.
Promote continuous improvement across procurement processes, technologies, and services, simplifying complex operations and fostering a culture of innovation.
Lead cost-saving initiatives through strategic workforce management, process enhancements, technology integration, and contractual optimization.
Drive change management efforts in support of long-term strategic objectives.
Develop and lead a high-performance procurement team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to execute the global procurement strategy effectively.
Cultivate a collaborative, performance-driven culture within the team.
Oversee procurement budgets, ensuring financial efficiency through strong partnerships with Finance and other key departments.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in procurement operations.
Support sustainability in procurement in line with ESG policies.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management, with a demonstrated history of success in senior leadership roles.
Ability to create and drive forward a clear vision and strategy for sourcing, incorporating advanced technology.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions within the business and externally with key suppliers.
Experience managing a regional or global procurement function.
Proficient in using procurement tools such as Spend Analytics, Contract Management, and P2P systems.
Strong background in direct and indirect procurement categories.
Experience working in dynamic, fast-growing organizations and comfortable operating in environments of change and uncertainty.
Background in procurement within industries such as manufacturing, equipment rental, or construction is highly desirable.
Strong track record in developing and executing procurement and supply chain strategies on a global level.
Excellent negotiation skills and experience managing contracts and supplier relationships.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
