Job Title: Kitchens & Bathrooms Surveyor

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Kitchens & BathroomsSurveyor to join our maintenance contracting team in Southampton. This role is integral to the successful delivery of kitchen and bathroom refurbishment projects within social housing and private residential properties. The Surveyor will be responsible for conducting site surveys, assessing work requirements, and ensuring quality installations in line with client expectations and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct detailed surveys of kitchens and bathrooms to assess work requirements and prepare accurate reports.

Work closely with clients, residents, and contractors to develop project specifications and ensure all works meet required standards.

Prepare estimates and schedules for refurbishment projects, including materials, labour, and associated costs.

Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and building codes.

Liaise with procurement teams to source suitable materials and maintain project budgets.

Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring quality control and timely delivery.

Investigate and resolve any site issues or variations to ensure smooth project completion.

Conduct post-completion inspections to verify quality and compliance with specifications.
Key Requirements

Previous experience as a Surveyor in a maintenance, refurbishment, or construction environment, preferably in kitchens and bathrooms.

Strong understanding of building regulations, health & safety, and compliance requirements.

Excellent technical knowledge of kitchen and bathroom installations, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry aspects.

Proficiency in preparing estimates, surveys, and technical reports.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to various sites.
Desirable Qualifications

Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND in Construction, Building Surveying, or equivalent).

CSCS card (or willingness to obtain one).

Experience in social housing maintenance projects.
