Senior General Foreman (Water/ Heavy Civils)
Location: Testwood (Southampton)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior General Foreman to join a leading construction team on a major water project in Testwood. This role is ideal for a hands-on individual who thrives in a dynamic site environment and enjoys taking ownership of operational site delivery.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you'll play a key role in managing site operations - either supporting a larger project or taking full responsibility for a smaller scheme. Your focus will be on ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while upholding the highest standards in health, safety, quality, and environment (HSQE).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Site Manager with site setup and implement site systems and procedures from day one.
- Drive productivity and resource optimisation by enforcing best practice methods and controls.
- Assess and mitigate security risks on-site, ensuring appropriate levels of protection.
- Champion health and safety standards, ensuring full compliance with company and legal requirements.
- Operate in line with method statements and risk assessments.
- Promote a culture of safety and accountability throughout the team.
Requirements:
- ONC/HNC in a construction-related discipline
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification
- First Aid qualified
- Ideally Confined Space trained
- Solid experience in the water treatment (non-infrastructure) sector
- CSCS Gold or Black card holder
