Site Agent - Major Infrastructure Project - SouthamptonRandstad are recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join a major infrastructure project in Southampton, focusing on heavy civils works. This is an outside IR35 contract role offering a competitive rate and the opportunity to work on a challenging project with a leading construction company.

The role is 4-5 months in duration although it could naturally be extended.

The successful candidate must have TWC, First Aid & SMSTS Responsibilities:* Oversee all aspects of construction operations on a specific section of the project, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

  • Lead and manage a team of site staff, including engineers, supervisors, and operatives, providing guidance and support.
  • Implement and maintain safety procedures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

* Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.* Identify and manage potential risks and issues, proposing solutions and corrective actions. * Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion within budget.

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and safety records.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Site Agent or in a similar role within the construction industry, with a strong focus on heavy civils works.

* A strong understanding of construction methods and processes, particularly related to heavy civils.* Experience working on complex infrastructure projects involving heavy civils works.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.* Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.Desirable Qualifications:* Experience working with leading construction companies in the UK.* Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards for heavy civils works.* Experience with project management software.
