We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with expertise in construction project management within the public sector. This role involves leading a team to deliver construction, capital schemes and renovation projects across the South region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing multiple projects and different stages.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage multiple construction and renovation projects across various stages of development.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Lead a team of Project Managers and other Project Workers, including recruitment and team development.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, including Health and Safety, building regulations, and planning standards.
  • Oversee project budgets ranging from £50,000 to £500,000 and manage work programmes up to £10m per annum.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Payroll, Finance, and Commercial & Supply Chain, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Drive the delivery of facilities maintenance
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Managerial and technical experience in project delivery for construction and renovation works.
  • Experience in managing minor works projects across a range of services.
  • Considerable knowledge of the built environment.
  • Proven experience in managing teams of Project Managers and Project Workers.
  • Project Management qualifications (e.g., MSP, PRINCE2, APM).
  • Public sector, defence, or similar experience is preferred.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills.
