Customer Service/Sales Administrator
TLP Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Customer Service/ Sales Administrator on a permanent basis, in Southampton. This is for a well-established company in the lifting and rigging industry.
Location: Southampton
Working Schedule:
- Week 1: Monday to Thursday, 7:45 am to 4:00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid break; Friday, 7:45 am to 1:30 pm with a 30-minute unpaid break.
- Week 2: Monday to Friday, 7:45 am to 4:00 pm with a 1-hour unpaid break.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer customer enquiries in person, by phone, and by email.
- Prepare and manage quotations, sales orders, and purchase orders for customer-specific items.
- Answer technical questions and provide product information by phone or email.
- Coordinate with logistics companies to arrange deliveries.
- Generate and manage picking lists and delivery notes.
- Maintain accurate records through data entry on our asset system.
- Complete and provide test certifications for customers.
- Maintain stock levels and oversee the procurement of fittings, stock, and stationery.
- Check incoming stock for accuracy and quality.
- Ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction are consistently achieved.
- Perform general office duties, including filing and managing paperwork.

- Proficiency with computers and office software.

- Experience in proactive selling and upselling.
- Ability to follow up on customer enquiries efficiently.
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience in the lifting industry and/or with wire rope products is an advantage.
