Job Title: Income Officer

Location:  Southampton

Daily Rate: £16-£18

Job Type: Interim (1 month, with potential for extension)

Working Hours: 35 hours per week (Hybrid working)

Job Profile:

  • Provide an efficient, effective and customer oriented service face to face, by phone and via email.
  • Liaise with students, customers and external organisations with regards to managing outstanding debt and funding, including issuing statements and written correspondence
  • Maintain clear records, negotiating payment plans and enforcing sanctions where necessary.
  • Raise and process invoices using the financial system, assisting staff in this process where required.
  • Review and allocate payments received/issued, ensuring all systems and records are accurate, complete and up to date.
  • Ensure that all records are maintained correctly and efficiently.

Specification:

  •  IT and spreadsheet skills, proven use of Microsoft Office programmes.
  • Experience of cashing and sales ledger administration duties
  • Good understanding of fundamental sales ledger accounting and debt recovery principles
  • Proven experience of working in a busy team, especially within the education sector
  • Good communication skills at all levels.
