Berry Recruitment are recruiting for a Specialist Cleaner to start ASAP for a local council.
- The service provide specialist cleaning services internally to Housing, Social Care and Environmental Health departments.
- They also provide a service to the NHS Hospital Discharge team.
The specialist Cleansing service runs alongside the Pest Control Service, providing a wide range of duties including dealing with Bio-hazards (once training has been undertaken.)
Some of the standard duties are as follows:
- Visiting properties some of which are void and some occupied to undertake minor and extensive cleaning works. (This does involve attending some filthy and verminous properties and dealing with bio-hazards.)
- Attending properties where an individual has passed away to undertake decontamination works along side Pest Control Officers. (Once training has been undertaken)
- Searching for and removing syringes within property and outside (once training has been undertaken)
Specifications for the role:
- An individual who is happy to work within filthy and verminous properties sometime dealing with bio-hazards.
- Some one who is flexible has good sense of time accountability and works well under pressure to meet deadlines.
- May be working with vulnerable individuals so need to have a lot of patience as well as a flexible problem solving respectable nature - will need to be DBS certified.
- Be diplomatic in dealing with internal and external Partners / Client authorising works. (Under the direction of the Pest Control Officer)
You must be able to drive as will be required to work all over Southampton in various locations.
