Teaching Assistants for SEMH Schools - Southampton and Hampshire

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our team, working in SEMH schools across Southampton and Hampshire.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in providing 1:1 and group support to students with SEMH needs. You will assist with both academic learning and emotional wellbeing, helping students to overcome barriers to education. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will contribute to a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with their learning and emotional needs on a 1:1 or group basis.
  • Help to implement personalised education plans and behavioural strategies.
  • Assist teachers in adapting classroom activities and materials to suit individual needs.

Requirements:

  • The ability to remain calm in challenging situations and apply positive behaviour management strategies.
  • A DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is required.
