Teaching Assistant/HLTAAlternative Provision Southampton

We are seeking a passionate and engaging Teaching Assistant/HLTA who has an interest in both Art and PSHE to join an Alternative Provison in the Southampton area for an ASAP Start!The school are hoping to find someone with the confidence and the drive to get involved with delivering small group lessons to groups of children and to support the teachers in both PSHE and Art.The school are willing to consider someone who has a good amount of experience working with children in any capacity, this does not have to be within the classroom, and a genuine interest in the subjects.

This is a full-time, on-going contract, ideally temp to perm. You will be joining a provision set up in Southampton City Centre which caters for vulnerable young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, and other associated needs such as autism. The Provision opened in September 2022 with the aim to give students in Key Stages 4 and 5 an opportunity to access both academic and vocational qualifications in an environment that suited them best!

As well as obtaining recognised qualifications they are also committed to preparing students for employment and adulthood pathways through bespoke curriculum's and supported work experience.
