This building services design role is to join a highly professional friendly team of specialist design engineers delivering innovative and creative solutions. They are a collaborative group who have built a supportive culture where you will quickly feel like part of the team. As a business they have seen growth due to an excellent reputation for quality and reliability, resulting in many enduring client relationships.
They are involved in a wide range of projects including schools, office builds, retail, and high spec and high density residential, projects range to in excess of £10 million in size.  Projects are all conducted whilst maintaining a focus on sustainable design.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out the designs for a diverse range of building services
- To include design from concept to handover, including preparation of drawings, specifications, and all relevant tender documentation.
- Producing drawings (Layouts, Schematics, & Sections),
- To produce estimates as required and formulate budgets for projects as required.
- Working as part of a team to ensure that coordination is achieved.
- Reviewing and commenting on information provided by the client and other members of the professional team.
- Reviewing and commenting on information provided by contactors/sub-contractors.
- Attending and contributing to design team meetings, client meetings, pre-contract and post-contract meetings.
- Guiding junior team members.
Experience Required
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced electrical design engineer within building services.
- Ideally a graduate with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience in electrical building services design.
- High degree of knowledge of technical issues and ability in electrical engineering within building services.
- Ability to work independently.
- Experience within a range of building project types.
