My client is a leading distributor and maintainer of Diesel Generators, Battery systems, switchgear and Transfer switches among others and is now looking for an experienced Engineer to join their established Service team. The ideal candidate will come from a Generator service background, will have strong electrical experience with knowledge of either COMAP or DEEPSEA control panels and will be prepared to across the Midlands and South of England as required.

Generator Engineer Job Overview
  • Servicing small and large diesel generators 10kVA to 2500kVA
  • Fault diagnostics and repair of diesel generators, including electrical diagnostics
  • Fuel pipework installation/repair
  • Control system programming and module installations
  • Planned maintenance and reactive call out's to client(s) sites nationally
  • Accurate/detailed completion of reports
  • Generator commissioning
  • Occasional Technical Support or Workshop cover may be required
Generator Engineer Job Requirements
  • Previous experience servicing and repairing generators is essential
  • Experience working with generator control systems (COMAP / DEEPSEA)
  • Commissioning experience desirable
  • Switchgear experience desirable
  • Qualified in Electrical Engineering
  • Engine rebuild experience desirable
  • Prepared to travel nationally and spend nights away (expenses paid)
  • CSCS / ECS card
  • Full UK Driving Licence
Generator Engineer Salary & Benefits
  • Salary £38,000 - £40,000 DOE
  • Door to door pay
  • Overtime available
  • Full time Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00
  • 33 days holiday including Bank Holidays
  • Company Van
  • Pension
