My Client is seeking a PCB Design Engineer with expertise in analogue circuit design and PCB layout to contribute to high-precision test interface designs. This role requires proficiency in Mentor Graphics or Proteus PCB CAD tools (other CAD systems will be considered) and experience designing low-noise analogue circuits with analogue-to-digital converters (ADCs), video bandwidth op-amps, and high-speed signal integrity considerations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop analogue and mixed-signal PCB layouts for test interfaces and precision measurement systems.
  • Work with analogue-to-digital converters (ADCs) and video bandwidth operational amplifiers for low-noise applications.
  • Integrate firmware-based components such as FPGAs and microcontrollers, ensuring seamless digital-analogue interfacing.
  • Implement device drivers and communication protocols including I2C, SPI, USB, and Camera Link for system interfacing.
  • Optimize PCB designs for signal integrity, power distribution, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
  • Generate and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, PCB layouts, and manufacturing data.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in analogue and mixed-signal PCB design and layout.
  • Proficiency in Mentor Graphics, Proteus, or other industry-standard PCB CAD tools.
  • Knowledge of low-noise analogue circuits, signal conditioning, and power supply filtering techniques.
  • Experience with ADCs, video bandwidth op-amps, and data acquisition circuits.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, USB, and Camera Link.
  • Understanding of FPGA integration and embedded firmware considerations.
