Senior Generator Engineerrequired. Hampshire Generators are well established in the supply, maintenance and installation of diesel generators and UPS systems across the UK. Due to a desire to expand, we are looking to add to the service team an experienced engineer. The successful candidate will be integral to the future of the business, with a strong understanding of diesel generator engineering and control panels.

Senior Generator Engineer Position Overview

  • Servicing small and large diesel generators 10kVA to 2500kVA
  • Fault diagnostics and repair of small and large diesel generators, including electrical diagnostics of alternators
  • Fuel pipework installation/repair
  • Load bank testing
  • Control system programming and module installations
  • Planned maintenance and reactive call outs to client(s) sites nationally
  • Accurate/detailed completion of reports
  • Site surveys for upcoming projects/sales
  • Generator commissioning
  • Representing the company in a professional manner
  • Liaising with clients to resolve issues
  • Occasional Technical Support or Workshop cover in Exton may be required
  • Training colleagues when required

Senior Generator Engineer Position Requirements

  • Electrical Engineering qualifications
  • Previous experience servicing and repairing generators is essential
  • Experience working with generator control systems
  • Commissioning experience desirable
  • Switchgear experience desirable
  • Engine rebuild experience desirable
  • Prepared to travel nationally and spend nights away (expenses paid)
  • CSCS / ECS card
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Senior Generator Engineer Position Remuneration

  • Door to door pay
  • Hours: full time Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00 with flexible start and finish times
  • 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays (33 days total)
