Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Installer to join our growing team, predominantly working on residential projects, with opportunities to expand into commercial projects as the business continues to grow. This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary with excellent earning potential through overtime (OTE of 62,000). A part of the role involves working away on certain projects, so flexibility is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installations:

    • Carry out electrical installations in domestic properties to the highest standards.
    • Ensure compliance with the 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and other relevant standards.
    • Complete electrical testing and inspections as per regulatory requirements.
    • Work efficiently to meet project timelines while ensuring quality workmanship.
  • Commercial Projects (future opportunities):

    Assist with the development and delivery of electrical installations for commercial projects as they arise.

Stay updated on commercial electrical standards and practices for smooth integration into upcoming projects.

  • Maintenance & Fault Finding:

    • Perform routine maintenance and fault diagnosis on existing electrical systems in residential properties.
    • Resolve any electrical issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to the client's property.
  • Safety & Compliance:

    • Adhere to Health & Safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
    • Ensure all installations comply with legal regulations and safety standards.
  • Working Away from Home:

    • Be prepared to travel and stay away from home for certain projects as required. This may include occasional overnight stays and working in different locations across the region.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Essential Qualifications:

    • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (BS 7671).
    • AM2 Assessment (or equivalent) certification.
    • Full UK driving license.
  • Experience:

    • Proven experience as an Electrical Installer, with a solid background in residential electrical work.
    • Experience in electrical installations and knowledge of electrical systems within domestic properties.
  • Desirable:

    • Experience in commercial electrical installations (advantageous but not required initially).
    • ECS/CSCS card (preferred but not essential).
    • Previous experience working away from home is an advantage.
