Job Overview
PRS are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our clients team based on a static site in Southampton. There is also opportunity for a Permanent Electrical Engineer to be based on another local site. Both roles are Monday to Friday.
Maintenance Electrician Responsibilities
- Responsible for PPM, Proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames
- Responsible for other types of building services maintenance to include Fabric, HVAC, Mechanical and related tasks
- Provide call out response (optional)
- Undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship
- Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.
- Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. This includes valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
- Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
Maintenance Electrician Requirements
- C&G NVQ 3 or equivalent in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering
- 18th Edition
- Experience working on Maintenance within a commercial environment ideally within the facilities management sector.
