Our client, a renowned company in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a dedicated Assembler to join their team in Waterlooville, Hants on a Temp to perm basis. This role combines board level assembly along with box build, reporting directly to the Production Manager. The ideal candidate will possess a positive 'can-do' attitude, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • PCBA assembly involving SMT and PTH soldering
  • Cable assembly, utilising crimp tools
  • Electro mechanical assembly
  • Working from customer BOMs and drawings to meet required standards
  • PCBA rework
Job Requirements:
  • Experience/knowledge of IPC 610
  • Proficiency in PTH/SMT soldering to a minimum of IPC610 class 2
  • Excellent component recognition and knowledge
  • Ability to work with fine pitch components under a microscope
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and clearly convey technical information
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload and excel under pressure
  • Inspection experience is advantageous but not essential
Working Conditions:
  • Contract position with the opportunity to transition to permanent
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 15:30
