Electronics Design Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electronics Design Engineer to join a leading engineering business that specialises in designing, developing, and manufacturing high-value, luxury, and complex electro-mechanical products. The company is seeking a highly skilled individual with a solid background in electronics design and a passion for innovation to contribute to their ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test cutting-edge electronics systems and products at the forefront of the electro-mechanical industry.

  • Create and optimise PCB layouts and schematics using industry-standard design tools.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software.

  • Ensure that designs meet all specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements for high-end, luxury products.

  • Conduct simulations and troubleshooting to resolve design issues in complex electro-mechanical systems.

  • Maintain project documentation and provide technical support throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in electronics design, including PCB design (preferably using Altium Designer or KiCAD)

  • Strong knowledge of analogue and digital electronics, including FPGA and embedded systems.

  • Experience with circuit simulation and debugging tools.

  • A degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in electronics design, particularly for high-value electro-mechanical products.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with embedded programming (C, C, etc.).

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and certifications (e.g., CE, UL).

  • Experience in designing for luxury or complex electro-mechanical products (e.g., automotive, marine, aerospace, or medical electronics).
