CMA is very pleased to be supporting a long-term client of ours in the recruitment of a Finance Analyst. They are a global leader in their sector of manufacturing and are seeking a talented and motivated Finance Analyst to join their Finance team at the Hedge End location in Southampton.

As a Finance Analyst, you will be instrumental in supporting the financial management of the UK R&D and manufacturing subsidiary. Reporting directly to the Finance Business & Planning Manager, you’ll have a significant impact on new product introductions and the company’s overall growth strategy. 

What will the Finance Analyst role involve?

  • Product Cost Management: Estimating, tracking, and analysing product costs, including those for new product launches.
  • Inventory Management: Reconciling inventory, reporting, and analysing variances, along with overseeing the annual stock take.
  • Operational Support: Providing business partnering support to the Operations function, challenging overhead costs, and driving improvements.
  • Investment Analysis: Conducting investment analysis for new products and major capital projects.
  • Financial Reporting: Managing intra-group transfer pricing, cost allocations, and completing month-end processes with detailed KPI reporting to the parent company.
  • Project Work: Engaging in various analytical projects to support business decisions

Suitable Candidate for the Finance Analyst vacancy:Essential:

  • Strong data analysis and presentational skills.
  • Ability to interact cross functionally and build strong working relationships with Operational leader.

Preferable:

  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing organisation.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a management/cost accounting role/Financial Analysis role.
