Chilworth Partnership are delighted to be assisting a rapidly expanding technology business, based in Southampton, in their search for a Chief Financial Officer. The business are at an exciting stage of their journey and their first CFO will be critical in supporting its growth and strategic objectives, as well as leading financial operations. Reporting to the CEO, responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the commercial goals in key verticals, and international markets.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and provide financial forecasts to guide decision-making.
  • Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage relationships with investors, stakeholders, and financial institutions.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance.

You will:

  • Be a fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Have proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role – early stage, driving financial vision.
  • Have comprehensive knowledge of IPOs as a beneficial skill-set. 
  • Have strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles with a commercial grounding.
  • Have previous experience in the technology or manufacturing sector as advantageous.

This is an excellent opportunity to shape the financial and strategic direction of the organisation, working closely with a dynamic CEO, who intend to continue to scale and go through a future transaction. The business are offering hybrid working, with an expectation to be in the office 3-4 days a week. Some travel, both domestically and internationally, will be expected.
