Job Opportunity: Finance Accounts Manager

Are you ready for an exciting, hands-on accounting role where you can truly make a difference? We have the perfect opportunity for you to take ownership of all aspects of the company?s financial operations, working closely with a small, supportive team.

In this varied and dynamic role, you'll be responsible for managing cash flow, VAT returns, and preparing management accounts?directly impacting the financial success of the company. You will work closely with senior leadership, building strong relationships and contributing to the company?s growth, with plenty of opportunities for professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage cash flow and working capital to ensure smooth daily financial operations
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time
  • Produce and analyse management accounts to provide key insights into financial performance
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Monitor and report on financial KPIs
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting, providing valuable insights into business strategy
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments to drive business success
  • Lead a team of two, providing guidance and support
  • Use Sage 50 and MS Excel daily to manage financial operations

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • AAT-qualified or equivalent with a strong background in financial management
  • Proven experience in managing small teams, preparing management and year-end accounts, and reconciling balance sheet accounts
  • Familiarity with Sage 50 software
  • Full-time availability, ideally 8 am ? 4 pm, working from the office
