This Group owns and operates a portfolio of high-end Hospitality and Leisure establishments across the UK, including Hotels, Restaurants, and in addition to Commercial and Residential Property, Care Homes and other land investments and opportunities.
Located on the South Coast for 30 years this company has had a solid history of stable growth and continues to deliver large scale Investments in Property planning, development and operations across the UK and beyond, and now the business enters a next phase of growth which will feature incredibly exciting and significant development build projects.
To support the development of the company through this next phase and to support the Group CFO and CEO, we are searching for a Group Finance Director to lead a team, with potential for further career progression. CMA Executive is delighted to share the details of this first-class role below;
What will the Group Finance Director role involve?
Reporting to the Group CFO, you will be central to all ongoing operations and will oversee a growing finance function that manages over fifty entities. You will lead and develop a team of qualified and part qualified finance professionals, work closely with Auditors and the Accountancy Firm, and be a key liaison for the Banks and other external advisors.
With oversight of your team, you will have responsibility for statutory reporting, commercial financial analysis, investment appraisal for significant construction projects, and financing including reviewing and analysing options for the Executive Team. The position will also be heavily involved in managing the financial aspects of new acquisitions and projects where you will take a lead role, with the available support from the Group CFO to aid and mentor your development within the Group.
Suitable Candidate for the Group Finance Director vacancy:
- Qualified accountant with significant senior-level experience, with exposure directly to the Property and Construction industry, with desirable experience with the Hospitality and Leisure sectors.
- A strong technical accounting knowledge is required as you will lead the group in all accounting aspects.
- First class relationship building skills, with key responsibility for managing banking arrangements and with some knowledge and experience of fund raising being considered preferential.
- Strong leadership and team management experience to motivate develop and grow a finance team with several direct reports and an overall current team of twelve.
- The ability to operate to tight deadlines in a pressurised but rewarding environment, and the ability and aptitude to develop yourself further, potentially into the Group CFO position.
- Strong written, oral, and presentation skills, with experience preparing high-quality reports for senior stakeholders.
- Proven financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and drive business performance.
- Problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical solutions and challenging existing processes when necessary
