Group Operations Manager - Automotive / Accident repair / Bodyshop

Are you an experienced automotive leader with a passion for operational excellence? We're looking for a dynamic Group Operations Manager to join a growing automotive bodyshop group. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented bodyshop professional to join an award-winning business.

Our client is an expert within the accident repair market and due to exponential growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Group Operations manager to concentrate on their sites across Southern England. This area includes London to the South Coast.

You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, leading and motivating your regional managers, monitoring and improving KPI's as well as supporting the growth of both staff and the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multi-site operations
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve performance and achieve business targets.
  • Drive efficiency, productivity & collaboration
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring each site meets or exceeds objectives.
  • Lead on recruitment, training, and development of team members, building strong, capable teams.
  • Oversee the daily operations of multiple bodyshop locations, ensuring smooth workflow and maximum productivity.
  • Conduct regular site visits and team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and feedback.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative working culture that promotes teamwork, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Proactively address operational challenges, implementing effective solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with senior management, technical teams, and other departments to align goals and share best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and customer service standards at all times.
  • You will also have Proven experience in multi-site management within the automotive or related sectors.


About you!!

  • Proven experience in a senior operations or managerial role, ideally within the automotive bodyshop industry or a similar fast-paced, multi-site environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, engage, and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to liaise at all levels, including stakeholders and senior management.
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to analyse data, track KPIs, and drive performance improvements.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • A proactive problem solver who thrives in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies is desirable.
