Driver Hire Southampton is currently recruiting for an experienced Forklift Driver with an accredited B3 Counterbalance licence or Telehandler licence.
As Forklift Truck Driver you will play an essential part in the smooth and efficient running of the Service Centre. It will be your responsibility to move the equipment safely to ensure that it is stored correctly and ready for customers to hire.
About this Forklift Position:
- 12-week temp to perm position
- Monday to Friday
- Start times between 6:00am and 8:00am (8-10-hour day)
- Operate forklift to safely move a variety of large equipment around the yard
- Organise and prepare equipment for hire
- Check and store hired equipment
- Always maintain a clean and safe yard/ workshop
- Liaise with customers during loading and unloading processes
What we require from you as a Forklift Operator:
- Up to date accredited B3 Counterbalance Forklift licence or Telehandler licence
- Reliable transport for commuting
- Physically fit to handle the demands of the job
- Previous forklift experience on the licence required
- Strong customer service skills
- Understand and follow the company's health and safety procedures
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
